The Manhattan Film Festival was originally founded by two independent filmmakers who learned first-hand how hard it was to find an independent film an audience. In 2006 we created the first film festival that offered film selection via a web-based competition. We followed that up by taking the festival experience virtual which is now widely popular on the film festival circuit. This year we launched the Filmmaker Revenue Sharing Program which has already become a huge success. Our mission is to deliver as large of an audience as possible to every filmmaker that participates in our festival as well as develop or discover new ways to help independent filmmakers make a career out of filmmaking.
