The Manhattan Film Festival has proven to be the most innovated festival of the 21st Century. As we continue to innovate and create new ways for filmmakers and audiences to connect other film festivals have followed our lead. Our festival was founded by two independent filmmakers who learned first hand how hard it is to find an independent film an audience. Formerly known as Independent Features, we pioneered the first film festival in which film selection is done online via a web-based competition. Today we are the first to offer filmmakers their preferred selection process; participation in our signature web-based competition or review by our festival’s programming team. The festival has been featured in USA Today, NY Daily News, The Hollywood Reporter, Variety, indieWIRE, and has generated over 405 million media impressions!
