Story Line

Narrated by Gary Sinise. Legendary comedian Bob Hope’s World War II travels to entertain the American troops were anything but ordinary. From the exhausting travel, to the always shifting front lines, Hope and his troupe of beautiful singers, outlandish comedians and talented musicians travelled over 80 thousand very hard miles, before the jet age, and during the middle of a horrific world war. Their ambitious goal was to bring smiles to American servicemen and women who were defending democracy thousands of miles from home in the Pacific and European theatre’s of war. There were times Hope and his troupe came close to becoming casualties themselves.
